Our Programs
1
Gang Crime Prevention
Our organization provides youth gang prevention programs focused on offering positive alternatives to crime, supporting rehabilitation, and helping individuals reintegrate into society. We work in partnership with correctional facilities, community organizations, and government agencies to deliver guidance and resources to those involved in the criminal justice system.
2
Family Violence Prevention
Recognizing that domestic violence prevention is a priority in the Commonwealth of Australia, it is important to understand that intersectionality is not about identity, but rather a framework for examining unseen power structures that shape inequality. It explores how overlapping systems of oppression interact and influence individuals’ lived experiences.
3
Education for Vulnerable Students
Our educational programs for vulnerable African students in Australia are designed to overcome barriers to learning and deliver personalized support. We work closely with schools, educators, and community organizations to identify students in need of extra assistance. Through one-on-one mentoring, targeted tutoring, and engaging after-school programs.
Services offered to
community members:

Community Capacity Building
We run culturally sensitive workshops, working within the African-Australian community and surrounding CALD communities, to develop and strengthen the skills, abilities, and resources needed to adapt and thrive in Australia.

Outreach and Case Management Support
AARSS engages with individuals or families in an effort to link them to appropriate services. We offer a distinct advantage in support services, having developed an authentic understanding of the African cultural complexities and needs that exist, thereby bridging the gaps between the community.

Family Violence
Support
Understanding family violence and the supports that are available in Australia is challenging for most migrants. Our role is to provide support services in a culturally sensitive and safe space. We provide access to information and resources for all affected members to make better-informed decisions for their safety and well-being.
